Labor Study
The economic development professionals in Franklin County, along with the support of Ameren Services, commissioned Growth Services to conduct a Workforce Market Study to measure the workforce quality, availability, and costs in a nine-county Area Labor Market (ALM).
The purpose of the Franklin County Workforce Market Study is to provide employers with definitive labor information necessary to make better informed decisions and minimize risks for workforce hiring, retention, and development needs. Additionally, another objective of this study is to provide a fair and balanced report for the community, and its employers to assess and determine long-term strategic planning for improving the community’s area labor market. The four components of this study go into considerable detail to quantify the strengths and challenges of this workforce. The four areas include:
